Where do I start?
Well first of all I hope everyone here in the UK had a lovely bank holiday weekend, I truly did, I didn’t do much, well I did spend most of my time writing and enjoyed my time with the family.
During the last couple of weeks I have had many conversations with different people, one of them being with a publicist from the USA, who is really interested in working with me and promoting The Older Woman in The USA, this I have to say has gotten me very excited.. to think that I all did was write a book … and here I am having conversations with a publicists on the opposite side of the pond..Wow!
This week I have received a lovely email from a gentleman, who was in the forces, I decided that I would share it with you because it really touched me and I just thought to myself whilst I read it ‘This is why I do what I do!
Hi Anna,
I thought I would drop you a quick email instead of just leaving a review as I wanted to thank you personally.
You see I served for 22 years in the Royal Navy and everything you wrote about Jamie resonated with me, it took me right back to my early days of being on shore and the fun times we had, and yes there was always lots of alcohol involved and the odd girl for that matter, but being in the forces it was difficult to strike up a lasting relationship as you never new when you was going to be around.
I think from a personal point of view you captured those feeling perfectly and also from both points of view as it’s not easy for someone to date a serving military guy, we are special breed.
When I finished the book, and believe me I was taking my time as I didn’t want to rush it, I limited myself to a chapter or two at a time, but over the bank holiday I had nothing else to do so I decided to sit down and read, before I knew I’d finished the book and even found myself saying ‘OMG, Now what?
So, I have to ask you ‘when is the second one due out? I may even have to re-read this one again!
Once again I thank you for writing The Older Woman and I wish you every success with it.

The wife wouldn't give up the book so I bought another copy for myself
