Happy 1st Birthday to The Older Woman, the saga of Jamie and Jess, and what a year it’s been!
It’s hard to believe that exactly one year ago today I sat down to write a short story of no more than 500 words and here we are one year later with five novels written, one of them already published and available to buy and the remaining four waiting to be published.
It’s hard to imagine what the next 12 months will be like but I can promise you this, it is exciting. Not only have you got the sequel ‘Ring of Hope’ and ‘Jamie’ the final instalment in the trilogy to look forward to but you also have ‘The Editor’ a lovely story of a successful business woman dealing with the loss of her husband and finding the courage to start dating again - a lovely heartfelt story which I am sure will resonate with a lot of people regarding the pitfalls of finding love again after marriage.
Finally, the most recent one, ‘The Mistress’. This is probably my favourite one, about how a married couple deal with the aftermath of the husband’s affair. While the wife sinks into depression, the husband throws himself into work then some years later they finally face up to what happened and how they now have to work to get their marriage back on track, with the help of a therapist they both face their past, their fears and demons and learn to find their love again.
It’s truly amazing to think how far I’ve come as an author in the past year because it was never a life choice, my career has taken me down some wonderful journeys but I have to say, this one is the best - I finally get to be who I am, my creative mind is free to do what it is best at, writing.
So for now, I’ll raise a toast to Jamie and Jess today and look forward to you all meeting Ellen and Troy along with David and Sasha, but for now have a great week and remember, stay safe!
